The Midlothian Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 15-year-old Midlothian girl.

On June 28, Mercedeis Akeera Guest was reported missing by her mother. The child has exhibited behavior consistent with high risk youth for the potential of being exploited or trafficked.

On Friday of last week, Mercedeis’ mother reported to officers she received a text from Mercedeis from an unknown older male’s phone. The North Texas HSI Trafficking Task Force, on which Midlothian PD is represented, and Fort Worth PD located her in southeast Fort Worth, but the girl was able to avoid law enforcement and is still believed to be in the area.
