Midlothian 2024 Light Up Parade

Christmas Movie Magic is the theme for the City of Midlothian’s 2024 Light-Up Parade. Prize categories for this year’s parade include Best Use of Theme, Best Use of Lights, Most Original, and Mayor’s Choice. Registration for entries is now open at Midlothian.tx.us/SpecialEvents.
40th Annual Ellis County Toy Run
Sunday, Dec. 8, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Downtown Midlothian and Sokol Hall, 2622 East Highway 34, Ennis
The Gryphons Motorcycle Club of Ellis County is sponsoring the event that will start in downtown Midlothian and wrap up at Sokol Hall in Ennis. Riders only need to show up, bring an unopened toy and $5 per person, at the form-up point in downtown Midlothian. Canned goods will also be accepted. Donuts/coffee will be available at the form-up; and the ride will end in Ennis with hot dogs, drinks, snacks, t-shirts, auctions and raffles.

The Midlothian Downtown Business Association is revving up for a huge promotion to promote small businesses for the Christmas shopping season. Stores will present a festive atmosphere, refreshments and/or special promotions for customers to enjoy. Shoppers will be shuttled by trolley to participating stores located within a three-mile radius of downtown Midlothian.
Merry Movie Night — ‘Elf’

Merry Movie Night’s family film feature will be the classic holiday favorite, “Elf.” The event includes free eats and treats while supply lasts. Also, expect an appearance by Buddy the Elf himself.
