The Midlothian Fire Department responded to the following incidents:
A total catch of nearly 11 pounds, 13 ounces of fish netted Maveryk Davidson first place in the Bass Division (ages 8 to 12 years) at last Saturday’s Kids Fishing Derby held at Midlothian’s Community Park Pond. Taking the top slot in the Minnow Division (4 to 7 years) was Travis Hernandez, with a total catch of five pounds, one ounce.

On close inspection, I could readily see the spot we would be fishing had been visited many times, the screen on the graph had saved the previous routes and once over the submerged ridge, the spot was completely blotted out on the graph.
WICHITA FALLS — Midwestern State University recognized 977 honor students for the Spring 2025 semester. The President's Honor Roll included 360 students, the Provost's Honor Roll included 267 students and the Dean's Honor Roll included 350 students.
Annual City of Midlothian water conservation measures took effect June 1 that require residents and businesses to refrain from irrigating their lawns or landscaping between the hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., except for hand watering or the use of drip/subsurface irrigation or properly working soaker hoses.
Head Coach of the Year in District 15-5A has been named recently as Heritage Jaguars’ Justin Blackwell. This motivational and encouraging coach has been at the helm of the Jags boys baseball team since 2018.
