I’ve been teaching out of 1st Timothy on Sunday morning, and last Sunday we bumped into the Apostle Paul’s words concerning prayer to this youngish pastor named Timothy who was stuck in Ephesus.
The theme for National Public Works week (May 18-24), “People, Purpose, Presence,” highlights three cornerstone ideals that motivate public works professionals to serve in their communities every day. Meeting the needs of people is what gives public works its sense of purpose.

SAN ANTONIO — The Midlothian High School girls’ doubles team of Hannah Hobbs and Gwen Robinson made history last week, becoming the first Midlothian ISD tennis individual or team to win a match at the University Interscholastic League state tennis tournament. Hobbs and Robinson advanced to the Class 5A girls’ doubles state quarterfinals on Thursday, defeating Helena Donovan and Sophia Porter of Austin LASA, 6-3, 6-4.
