Season ends for HHS, MHS softball

It was a tough way for the Heritage softball Jaguars to end their season, as they put the potential game-tying run at second base in the bottom of the seventh inning of Game 2 but came up short in a 4-3 loss against Lucas Lovejoy last Friday at Heritage High School in the Class 5A Division II region semifinals. The Jaguars finish a historic year with a final record of 27-9, having won their first-ever district championship and advancing farther in the postseason than any other HHS softball team.

Jags sweep series over Waco U

Focused and prepared for the first round of the state baseball playoffs, the Jaguars of Heritage High School hosted the second game against the Waco University Trojans on Friday night, May 2, but due to another day of rain, the Jags were forced to have the game moved to the Midlothian Panthers turf field. However, the threat of further weather problems didn’t win out — but the Jags team did, by a score of 8-0.
