Midlo business aims to keep veterans cool

A Midlothian business is stepping up to do its part to assist veterans in Ellis County who might be facing difficulty due to recent government cutbacks. Dial One Johnson Plumbing Cooling & Heating is donating labor for the installation of a dozen air conditioning units for Serenity Veterans Village, which provides housing to homeless veterans in Ellis County.

Lady Panthers fall in state semifinals

In a rematch with the team that knocked the Midlothian Lady Panthers out of going to the state soccer tournament in Georgetown last year, fate had set the table this year for Midlothian to repay the favor and let Colleyville Heritage feel the pain and disappointment that goes hand in hand with only getting close. The Lady Panthers (23-1-1) were riding the crest of a 20-game winning streak as they took on the Colleyville Heritage Panthers (16-2-1) in Mansfield at Vernon Newsom Stadium this past Saturday, April 5.

MISD DI teams advance to Global Finals

On March 29, the Lone Star Finals Destination Imagination tournament took place at the University of Texas in Arlington Maverick Stadium. The event gathered over 600 teams from across the state, each showcasing their creative problem-solving abilities through a series of challenging and dynamic STEAM-based (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) tasks.
