Heritage falls to Lovejoy to end season

The Midlothian Heritage Jaguars (14-7-2) hosted the Lovejoy Leopards last Friday evening, March 28 at MISD Multipurpose Stadium for the right to play in the Class 5A Division II Region II final on Tuesday, April 1. In what was an incredible run of fortune, the Jaguars were never forced to take to the road to for any playoff game this year, as they were blessed with home matches against Waco University (W 6-1); Dallas Woodrow Wilson (W 4-1), and now would come the biggest challenge with Lovejoy — “Coming on down to Cement Town” and the opportunity to play in the Region II championship.

MISD softball teams headed for second clash

The Class 5A No. 23-ranked Heritage Jaguars picked up two more victories in District 15-5A softball action — and even stepped outside of the loop on Saturday for another win — as they headed toward a Friday collision with their crosstown rivals
