HHS cleans house at district swim meet

MANSFIELD — The Heritage Jaguars came tantalizingly close to a sweep as they finished as runner-up by a point in both divisions at the District 7-5A swimming and diving championships last Friday and Saturday at the Mansfield ISD Natatorium.

Council OKs rental fees for City Hall rooms

In a marathon Tuesday night meeting that didn’t adjourn until 10:30 p.m., the Midlothian City Council authorized an annual contract with Motorola Solutions for a comprehensive multiagency system, and set rental fees for meeting rooms inside the new City Hall. Councilmembers were divided over how to apply the new fees for the two meeting rooms, known as Community A and Community B.

Methodist listed among top workplaces

DALLAS — Methodist Health System has been named a winner of Glassdoor’s 17th annual Employees’ Choice Awards, honoring the top 100 Best Places to Work in 2025. Unlike other workplace awards, Best Places to Work is based on the input of employees who voluntarily provided anonymous feedback about their employer, job, and work environment over the past year.

MHS teams edge HHS in soccer clashes

It was a busy opening week of District 15-5A soccer play for both Midlothian and Heritage as they opened with a bang last Wednesday at MISD Multipurpose Stadium for a weather-postponed doubleheader clash of crosstown rivals.
