The City of Midlothian kicked off the holiday season last week with a trio of activities held downtown. Beginning with the traditional tree-lighting ceremony, which culminated with guests of honor, Meagan, Maverick, and Riggins White pulling the lever that gave way to a spectacular light show to unveil the city’s brand-new Christmas tree.

Hope Health, a faith-based organization that provides comprehensive healthcare to uninsured residents in Ellis County, took a big step Tuesday in building for the future needs. Leaders and staff from Hope Health, as well as campaign volunteers and donors, gathered for a groundbreaking of its new facility, which will be located at the intersection of Coleman and Farley Streets, across from the Waxahachie Police Department.
