County to consider new animal shelter bid
The Ellis County Commissioners’ Court will need another two weeks to finalize its efforts to establish a new animal sheltering service for the county. After almost an hour of discussion during Tuesday’s regular bi-weekly meeting, the court voted unanimously to cancel a bid award to So, Fetch Safe Haven and reissue a revised request for proposals that reduces the scope of the county’s involvement.
8th Street Dance is back with Le Freak
Midlothian’s annual Le Freak concert returns to downtown 8th Street on Saturday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. Featuring the popular disco-tribute band, the concert will occupy the space in front of the new City Hall and Library building all the way to Main Street.
