The second annual “Midlothian Worship Night” was hosted by five area churches — Harvest Hill, Creekside Church, OneWay Church, and The Lighthouse Church — on Good Friday, April 18. Midway Church was also there represented.

Every day at Midtowne Assisted Living and Memory Care, the seniors who call the retirement community home are the center of attention for many dedicated staff members. But for a few hours on April 18, their roles were reversed, and it’s the employees who were doted upon.

Ellis County Commissioners moved closer Tuesday to naming a new animal sheltering provider for the county, but are trying to figure out a way to budget funds for it in the middle of a fiscal cycle. The Commissioners’ Court discussed and tabled a bid award to So, Fetch Safe Haven to take over the county’s animal shelter.
