The City of Midlothian extends an invitation to the community to attend a Grand Opening Celebration for its new City Hall and Library on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to noon at 215 N. 8th Street.

A decades-long relationship between the City of Midlothian and Midlothian Independent School District was recognized with a resolution presented by the school board to Mayor Justin Coffman, Becky Shuffield, Midlothian Public Library Board president, and Alexis Tackett, library director, at Monday night’s school board meeting. With the opening of the new City Hall and Library, the school board acknowledged the library’s history as a partnership with MISD since 1984.
