City Council faces bond cost overruns

Tackling a jam-packed agenda, the Midlothian City Council last Tuesday reviewed plans for the new voter-approved City Hall and Public Safety-Courts facilities — and mainly how to cover cost overruns. In a workshop that preceded the meeting, Assistant City Manager Clyde Melick briefed councilmembers on the numbers for both projects, which were approved by voters in a May 2021 referendum.

I follow this fairly well known pastor on Instagram. He’s a youngish guy with a great story. He serves at a larger church, has written a book and gets asked to speak at big conferences. He’s the real deal. But I also see what looks like a nod to “worldliness (1st John 2:15).”
