I have a passion to continue serving the citizens of Ellis County as their Judge for the 40th District Court. Administering justice among the victims of felony crimes and those accused of such offenses, as well as the resolution of disputes and lawsuits among individuals and businesses in our community has been the love of my life’s career and work.

Tackling a jam-packed agenda, the Midlothian City Council last Tuesday reviewed plans for the new voter-approved City Hall and Public Safety-Courts facilities — and mainly how to cover cost overruns. In a workshop that preceded the meeting, Assistant City Manager Clyde Melick briefed councilmembers on the numbers for both projects, which were approved by voters in a May 2021 referendum.

I follow this fairly well known pastor on Instagram. He’s a youngish guy with a great story. He serves at a larger church, has written a book and gets asked to speak at big conferences. He’s the real deal. But I also see what looks like a nod to “worldliness (1st John 2:15).”
