MANSFIELD — Doctors at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center just performed the first carpal tunnel release using ultrasound guidance in Tarrant County. During the procedure, the surgeon uses ultrasound, the same technology used to view babies in the womb, to see inside the patient’s wrist. Using a single incision, the surgeon can cut the carpal ligament and relieve pressure inside the wrist — all while the patient is awake.
During the next 60 to 90 days, road rehabilitation projects budgeted for 2022 will take place throughout the City of Midlothian, beginning with Waterworks Road. During construction, streets will be open to through traffic, but some traffic interruption will occur. Traffic control signs and flaggers will be in place. The patience and cooperation of motorists is appreciated.

The ministry concept brought about by the leadership of Pastor Bruce Zimmerman of Waxahachie Bible Church is a simple, biblical commandment – to Love Your Neighbor – and that means spreading love and kindness all around.

This past week, I was out in the middle of Lake Ray Hubbard fishing with guide Brandon Sargent, Lead Slinger’s Guide service. We were dropping baits directly under the boat and staying busy hooking and placing on ice one white bass after the other. Catching was about as good as it gets for about 30 minutes and then the action suddenly ceased. About 75 yards out, on the dead calm surface of the water, a huge school of “whites” had pushed shad to the surface, the water was frothing!
