MISD's Blaylock selected for Holdsworth program 

AUSTIN — Midlothian ISD chief academic officer Shelle Blaylock is among four North Texas educators selected to join The Holdsworth Center’s Aspiring Superintendent Leadership Program (ASLP), a 15-month program designed to equip future superintendents with the skills, knowledge and experience to lead Texas districts with vision and purpose. This first-of-its-kind program is designed to help leaders gain mastery of the skills and behaviors needed to be an exceptional superintendent from day one.

County groundwater use sees decrease

The Ellis County Commissioners’ Court last week heard a report about groundwater consumption in the county and the immediate region in general. Kathy Turner Jones, general manager of the Prairielands Groundwater Conservation District, and Kaylin Garcia, permitting director for the district, gave a presentation on the consumption of aquifers in the four-county area for 2024.
