High gas prices hurt, but opportunity to make good choices

WASHINGTON — The water level in Nevada's Lake Mead has fallen so low that authorities found two bodies previously hidden in the reservoir's depths, one an apparent homicide victim stuffed into a barrel. Upstream along the Colorado River, in shrinking Lake Powell, another set of waterlogged human remains was recently found in a submerged car. Meanwhile, the bodies of long-dead mountain climbers are emerging from the melting glaciers of the Himalayas and the Alps.

Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson must wonder what she has gotten herself into

WASHINGTON -- Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson must be having second thoughts. When she takes her seat on the Supreme Court, she will be joining an institution whose out-of-control majority values religious dogma -- and raw political power -- over the freedoms our Constitution is supposed to guarantee. And she'll become the junior member of a club that increasingly seems riven by animosity.

Somewhere along the way to these times when nothing seems to work, "customer service" became an oxymoron. How many times have you listened to scratchy "hold" music, or have been asked to download an app instead of talking to a person, or have been warned that "your wait time is 35 minutes" -- and then contemplated screaming? How often have you raised your voice when someone finally picked up? Rep. Brian Harrison endorses Mike Dillow

State Representative Brian Harrison, who has multiple children who attend Midlothian Independent School District (MISD), announced his endorsement of Mike Dillow for MISD School Board Place 4. This is Rep.
