In a race twice delayed by lightning, Chase Elliott stole the thunder from a contingent of Toyota drivers who showed early dominance. After a late caution slowed the action in Sunday’s Ally 400, Elliott remained on the track and led the field to a restart with four laps left at Nashville Superspeedway.

The roar of engines will fill the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum once again when NASCAR’s Busch Light Clash returns to the iconic venue in 2023. Following the resounding success of the inaugural event, the exhibition race will return to the quarter-mile race track to begin the 2023 season on Feb. 5th on FOX.
The Midlothian Panthers took it right down to the wire, but made it into the state 7-on-7 football tournament — right alongside their crosstown neighbors as well as another Ellis County rival. Madeleine Fey, who just finished her sophomore year at Midlothian, won the girls discus at the Nike Outdoor Nationals on Sunday at the University of Oregon. Fey took the gold medal with a throw of 49.90 meters (163 feet, 8 inches).
