Heritage falls to Lovejoy to end season

The Midlothian Heritage Jaguars (14-7-2) hosted the Lovejoy Leopards last Friday evening, March 28 at MISD Multipurpose Stadium for the right to play in the Class 5A Division II Region II final on Tuesday, April 1. In what was an incredible run of fortune, the Jaguars were never forced to take to the road to for any playoff game this year, as they were blessed with home matches against Waco University (W 6-1); Dallas Woodrow Wilson (W 4-1), and now would come the biggest challenge with Lovejoy — “Coming on down to Cement Town” and the opportunity to play in the Region II championship.

Lake Belton suffocated by Panthers                                     

The Texas State High School soccer playoffs kicked off this past Thursday evening, March 20 with the bi-district round games. The Midlothian Panthers (15-4-3 overall) traveled down Interstate 35 to open the next season against the Lake Belton Broncos (5-17-2).
