MISD tennis programs host huge tourney

The Midlothian ISD was proud to have both of their outstanding tennis programs (Midlothian High and Heritage High) join forces to put on an outstanding day of tennis for the community, and they welcomed a total of 15 teams as participants in their annual Midlothian Invitational Tourney held on Thursday, March 6. This is the largest tennis tournament held in Midlothian, and their city is fondly called “Tennis Town”.

Panthers win first of 2 over Jags

District 15-5A baseball play began with a bang for the two Midlothian ISD rivals on Tuesday night as the game went into extra innings. The Midlothian Panthers ultimately prevailed, 6-5, in the bottom of the ninth over the Heritage Jaguars at Ronnie Clanton Field in the first leg of a district home-and-home series.

Ennis teams no match for MHS

On Tuesday night, March 4 at Midlothian High School’s home soccer field, the Panthers (11-4-3 overall and 7-1-3 in District 15-5A) welcomed the Ennis Lions (3-7-2 overall and 4-10-2 in district play) for the final district home game of the year. As both teams prepared for the game, they were “blessed” with a springtime breeze wafting across the field (ha, ha) and through the bleachers at a constant 40 to 50 miles per hour.
