Jags use late TD to salvage victory at Terrell

TERRELL — The Heritage Jaguars got a stiff test from the host Terrell Tigers on Friday night at Terrell Memorial Stadium, but broke a deadlock with about four minutes to go on Carter Rutenbar’s 2-yard keeper and held on for a 21-14 victory in District 6-5A (Division II) action. The Jags (3-3, 3-0) drove 67 yards and overcame a sack that briefly took them out of the red zone to remain on top of the district standings, with a battle for first place looming on Friday night at Don Floyd Field at MISD Multipurpose Stadium against undefeated district co-leader Crandall.
