MHS girls' duo wins match at UIL state

SAN ANTONIO — The Midlothian High School girls’ doubles team of Hannah Hobbs and Gwen Robinson made history last week, becoming the first Midlothian ISD tennis individual or team to win a match at the University Interscholastic League state tennis tournament. Hobbs and Robinson advanced to the Class 5A girls’ doubles state quarterfinals on Thursday, defeating Helena Donovan and Sophia Porter of Austin LASA, 6-3, 6-4.

Jaguars battle to the end vs. Lovejoy

FORNEY — The Heritage Jaguars quest for a state championship in the Texas high school baseball 2025 playoffs came to an abrupt end on Saturday afternoon, May 17, at the hands of the Lovejoy Leopards by a score of 1-0 in Game 3 at the neutral site of North Forney High School. In the Region II semifinal playoff series, it was a matchup of arguably the top two teams in the region.
