Harrison announces for reelection to Texas House

State Rep. Brian Harrison, a battle-tested conservative and former senior Trump official, announced his reelection campaign for House District 10 and that President Trump, who’s repeatedly praised Harrison’s work, is endorsing him.

Harrison has been acclaimed by conservative leaders like Sen. Ted Cruz, who said, “Brian Harrison is a fighter for freedom and the type of leader we need in the Texas Legislature,” members of President Trump’s Cabinet, numerous local elected officials and GOP precinct chairs, and WarRoom host Steve Bannon, who called Brian “a true warrior down in Texas who’s fighting the uniparty establishment!”

Grassroots America, the largest conservative grassroots organization in Texas, named Brian the “Ace of Champions” and “The Most Fiscally Conservative Member of the Texas Legislature!”

“In recognition of your outstanding service to the Great People of Texas, I am honored to give you, Brian Harrison, my Complete and Total Endorsement in the upcoming Re-Election,” Trump said. “Together, we will, Make America Great Again!”

“It’s been my privilege to fight for the freedoms of everyone in Ellis County and all Texans, and I’m honored that President Trump told me in person that he is supporting me in my reelection,” Harrison said. “Texans deserve bold, conservative leadership who will not bend a knee to the liberal Austin swamp, but who will fight for the next generation of Texans, even if that means standing alone. Democrats and RINOs want to take me out because I’m an effective conservative who delivers results. I will keep fighting to abolish property taxes, end taxpayer funding of DEI and LGBTQ indoctrination, cut spending and regulations, and make Texas the #1 state in America for LIBERTY!”

Harrison has been called the most effective member of the Texas House. No one has fought harder or delivered more major victories for House District 10 and Texas like these:

  • Authored and unanimously passed a bill to expand Texas State Technical College in Ellis County, which will increase education and professional opportunities here and greatly benefit our schools, students, businesses, and job seekers
  • Successfully led the charge to end COVID vaccine mandates in Texas
  • Ended taxpayer funding of the Marxist-led American Library Association
  • Forced Texas A&M to cancel their LGBTQ Studies Minor
  • Helped prevent people with noncitizen IDs from being given regular ballots
  • Forced the Texas Medical Board to fire the Planned Parenthood official serving as Medical Director
  • Stopped the Texas Workforce Commission from treating “gender identity” and “sexual orientation” as protected classes
  • Made state agencies remove DEI from their websites and strategic plans
  • Prevented illegal aliens from getting education savings accounts
  • Single handedly made the House adhere to the constitutional quorum requirements
  • Brought unprecedented transparency to the corruption in Texas government through social media, generating millions of views and engaging tens of thousands of grassroots activists from across Texas and America to force actions from the liberal establishment

Harrison has the rare courage to battle the biggest names in the mainstream media in the defense of liberty. Harrison won the Voice of the American Dream Award by the conservative Club for Growth Foundation, which honors an individual who has demonstrated exceptional achievements in communications and media, alongside an unwavering commitment to preserve and promote the principles of economic freedom and limited government.

Harrison was first elected in a special election in September 2021. Following his overwhelming victory, he was reelected in 2022 and 2024. Harrison quickly gained a reputation for leadership not only in Ellis County but with freedom loving patriots across America.

Harrison fights hard for Ellis County and has met with thousands of constituents, local businesses, and community leaders to best understand the issues facing the district.

Prior to getting elected, he served as President Trump’s Chief of Staff of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the largest government agency in the world, where he oversaw a staff of over 83,000 and a budget of over $1.4 trillion, helped secure the border with Title 42, slash burdensome regulations, and defund Planned Parenthood.

During President Trump’s reelection campaign in 2024, Harrison served as a national media surrogate for the President, was a Delegate to the Republican National Convention, and was endorsed by President Trump to serve on the RNC Platform Committee.

He’s also previously worked in the White House, Pentagon, and in small family businesses based in Ellis County, where he lives with his wife, Tara, and their four children. A native Texan, Harrison graduated from Ovilla Christian School and earned a degree in Economics from Texas A&M University.
