Public Safety Facility Grand Opening

Midlothian Public Safety and Municipal Court Facility, 1111 George W. Raffield Jr. Way
The community is invited to the opening of Midlothian’s new Public Safety and Municipal Court Facility at a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house. This event is free and open to the public and will include a memorable ceremony, followed by tours of public spaces, exhibits, and behind-the-scenes videos. Shuttle service from City Hall will be provided from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

National Night Out Kickoff

Midlothian Police Department will kick off the 2025 National Night Out campaign. Members of the community will learn how to organize a National Night Out event in their neighborhoods, which will take place across the city on the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 7. The kickoff event offers activities for the entire family, including visits with first responders, bounce houses, emergency vehicles, emergency preparedness information, and free refreshments.

Mockingbird Wildflower Walk

Mockingbird Nature Park, 1361 Onward Road
A half-mile excursion of the nature park, guided by members of the Texas Master Naturalists, Indian Trail Chapter of Ellis and Navarro Counties. Participants will learn about the wildflowers, native plants, and animal life of the park. Closed-toe shoes, comfortable outdoor clothing, and insect repellent are recommended. These events are free and open to children and adults of all ages but be aware that most trails are natural surface.
