Wreaths Across America is an annual event that takes place on the third Saturday of December across the country. The mission of the event is to remember fallen veterans and honor those who serve. The Rebecca Boyce Chapter of the local Daughters of the American Revolution sponsored this year's event on Dec. 14 at the Veterans' Memorial on the grounds of the Waxahachie Civic Center. Representatives from each branch of the U.S. military and first responders laid the wreaths along the memorial. The service concluded with the playing of taps.
